I recently revisited the Queen's House in Greenwich. I took this image looking up the historic Tulip Stairs with emphasis on the metal railings as the stair spirals upwards. Completed in 1638, these are the first geometric self-supporting spiral stairs in Great Britain. The stairs look contemporary and elegant despite being nearly 400 years old.
