Images of night blooms from the orchid-cactus plant in my patio. Each flower measures about 10 inches in diameter and lasts only one night. I received the plant as a gift from my brother a few years ago. It is doing quite nicely; blooming every few weeks from about late May to October.
These highly fragrant and delicate flowers remind me of the beauty and fragility of life.
I dedicate these images to my mother-in-law who passed away on 24-Sep-2010 from illness. She enjoyed these flowers; several bloomed on the evening she passed away.
