Judenplatz

Judenplatz

Judenplatz was the center of the Jewish community in Vienna during the Middle Ages. A memorial to the Austrian Holocaust Victims was created in 2000; it is made of reinforced concrete resembling a library with its books turned inside out. Most of the square was in the shadow of neighboring tall buildings. I focused on the two school children taking a break on the memorial while a man walked towards the afternoon light.
