Twilight at Salk Institute

The Salk Institute of Biological Studies at La Jolla, California was named after Jonas Salk, the developer of the polio vaccine. Leading edge studies in genetics, neurosciences and plant biology are conducted inside modern and airy buildings designed by architect Louis Kahn. I took this image at the courtyard during a cold winter dawn.
