St Albans Christmas Market

St Albans Christmas Market

St Albans is a historic city located 20 miles north of London. It was the ancient city of Verulamium, second largest in Roman Britain, destroyed during the uprising led by tribal Queen Boadicea. The town is named after Saint Alban, the first British Christian martyr, beheaded by Romans ca. AD 324. Today the town is famous for its Cathedral and Verulamium museum. St Albans also has one of the oldest regular markets in the UK, including a delightful Christmas market in and around the beautiful Vintry Garden adjacent to the 11th century St Albans Cathedral.
