A day trip to Failaka Island on 26-Dec-2020. Took catamaran boat from Marina in Salmiya.
Homes and buildings were destroyed and left behind since the Iraqi invasion in Nov-1990. There is a small area where rusting relics of the war can be visited.
Failaka also has archaeological remains of Greek and Dilmun civilizations though these sites were closed when we visited.
